: I am pretty sure that this is an active form so this term implies that it is a modifier and not a modified XXX. different from 構造変化された物.

XXX structurally modified by ...
Actually, I found a source on the internet (which looks as though it might similar to what CalumR is translating) in which this is used in a context like 「。。。汚染により構造生物が生成した場合。。。」. So I believe that this is passively used meaning something like "structurally modified substance". However, as I am not too familiar with the technology here, I am not quite sure what would be appropriate for "substance". Maybe you can reverse it to be something like "XX structurally modified by XX". Actually, CalumR, you probably already know this much so I didn't really offer much help. Wish I knew more about the topic!
