In-House Skills Utilized in a Freelance World!

Hello everyone, my name is Tim Miller and I am currently working as a full-time freelance translator after four and a half years as a full-time in-house Japanese to English translator at a major patent law office here in Tokyo. I am now equipped with solid skills in translating patent-related documents in the fields of chemistry, mechanics, biology, pharmaceuticals, medicine, etc. My job field changes every day so I am constantly expanding my porfolio!

In my current freelance work, I mainly focus on translating patent specifications and utility models in mechanical fields. I have done extensive work in translating patents regarding absorbent articles, optical systems, semiconductors, blanks for boxes, etc. I also have extensive experience in translating briefs for invalidation trials and the like.
