Since 1992 - freelance professional translator and interpreter, working with translation agencies, government bodies, NGOs and companies, especially in the field of the environment, EU institutions, law, chemistry, civil engineering, technology and non-profit sector (the work involved official translations of government documents for the EU, legal regulations and reports, etc.)
1993 - 1998 “English - Czech / Czech – English Environmental Dictionary” – author and research manager of the project at Charles University Prague, The Institute of Translation Studies,
responsible for the whole project, including lexicographic work as well as thematic coverage of the environmental area and co-operation with foreign specialists; member of the collective of authors
1993-1998 translator/interpreter and volunteer; voluntary work with several different Czech non-governmental organisations focusing on environmental education, information services for NGOs, and specialised educational projects (e.g. a series of seminars on lobbying, management and fundraising)
