Medical - Medical: Instruments / Or dental surgery
German term or phrase: Adaptionshilfe
This is a translation about an instrument which is used to collect "Defektblut" from an operation site. The blood is then mixed with other material for the purpose of bone augmentation prior to an implantation procedure.
As well as being used for collecting blood for use bone augmentation it can be used as an "Adaptionshilfe bei der Verarbeitung von Membranen in oralchirugischen Eingriffen." I now what it means - forming the membranes to the correct configuration but I cannot think of how to put it properly.

...'-hilfe' sounds as if 'tool' would be a good choice... ;-)
