In meinem Projekt geht es um Verbesserungen zum Labormanagement. Im entsprechenden Fragebogen wird u.a. die aktuelle Labororganisation abgefragt.

Das Labor kann seine Organisationsstruktur angeben und zwischen folgenden Punkten unterscheiden:

- Stand alone
- Regional network
- National network
- National lab chain
- Hub
- Spoke
- Hub & spoke
- Group purchasing organisation

Alle Punkte sind mir klar, nur "hub" und 'spoke" sowie "hub & spoke" sagen mir so gar nichts. Ich finde Referenzen aus dem Transportwesen, kann mir aber trotzdem nicht wirklich einen Reim darauf machen.

Sind jemandem von Euch diese Begriffe in diesem Zusammenhang schon einmal unter gekommen?
