How to handle abbrev. with Wordfast Auto-Aligner

Auto-Aligner is rather good, but you cannot add your own list of abbrev.

Here's a workaround:

In the third paragraph of the source document I've replaced the full stops after the abbrev. 'Hy' with a unique sign, the dollar sign.

Note how this tricks Auto-Aligner's segmentation:

In the Excel table, the TMX or TXT file that Auto-Aligner sends you, you can replace the unique sign with a full stop.

What happens if you use non-breaking spaces after those fullstops?

I had thought about that but decided to go for a unique sign rather than for the non-breaking space.
