cursor position not exact

When editing a translation in Trados 2022, the cursor often is not exactly positioned, meaning if I try to delete a character, it takes the previous character or even two characters back.
Very annoying and time consuming.

Any suggestions to correct this?

Does your source contain regular expressions that were not converted into tags/codes?

it is always standard source text and this happens with all projects.

I have 1920x1200 monitors (extended) and 125% text size (because otherwise the text would be too small on these monitors)

Trados Studio 2022 - 17.0.6.14902, but irrelevant since the problem is present ever since I installed 2022

This is exactly why I am asking about your version: they promised to fix this issue after CU1 (now it is CU6). Can't be more relevant indeed.

Ok, then you can try the following three options:
1. Go to Options - Font Adaption - set font to 14 in all boxes
2. Go to Options - Editor - Formatting display style - select Show all tags but do not show formatting
If these two options still fail,
