No preference about their personality, but I do like them to react fairly quickly on questions, confirming receipts and the like.

Slight preference for serious

I said it didn't matter, and it doesn't really. That said, one of my main clients is very serious and the other is much more friendly. I worked in-house for the latter one for over 20 years. We usually get along nicely (they "need" me for certain projects), but they're not above making snide remarks if I complain about working conditions such as complicated formatting. The serious ones, on the other hand, always start their e-mails "Dear Muriel" and sign off with "Best wishes." They are endlessl... See more
