Grundlage des Rahmenvertrages und der zwischen den Beteiligten geschlossenen Einzelverträge sind die Bedingungen, wie sie in diesem Vertrag niedergelegt sind. Weiterer Bestandteil sind die Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen von XXX. Diese Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen sind diesem Vertrag als Anlage beigefügt.
Der Käufer bestätigt mit seiner Unterschrift, dass er die Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen vor Vertragsabschluss zur Kenntnis genommen hat, aufmerksam gelesen hat, keine ihn überraschende oder unverständliche Klauseln enthalten sind, er mit der Einbeziehung der Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen von XXX in den Vertrag einverstanden ist und er deren Rechtswirksamkeit und Geltung für das Vertragsverhältnis ausdrücklich anerkennt.
Translation - English II. General terms and conditions
The basis of the Framework Contract and the individual contracts concluded between the parties are the terms as they are stipulated in this Contract. A further component is the General Terms and Conditions of XXX. These General Terms and Conditions are annexed to this Contract as an appendix.
By signing the contract, the Purchaser confirms that he has acknowledged the General Terms and Conditions prior to conclusion of the contract, that he has carefully read these, that they do not contain any clauses which are surprising or incomprehensible, that he agrees to the inclusion of XXX's General Terms and Conditions in the Contract and that he expressly acknowledges their effectiveness and validity in regard to the contractual relationship.

Geheimhaltung
1. Die Vertragsparteien verpflichten sich wechselseitig zur Geheimhaltung aller vor und während der Laufzeit dieses Vertrages ausgetauschten bzw. auszutauschenden Informationen und aller erworbenen Kenntnisse über Grundlagen, Arbeitsweise, Herstellung, Neuentwicklungen, Verbesserungen und sonstige Details betreffend die Vertragsprodukte und die Vertragsabwicklung berührende Betriebsvorgänge, auch wenn sie nicht ausdrücklich als geheim oder vertraulich bezeichnet worden sind. Dies gilt nicht, soweit die Offenbarung notwendig ist, um Know-how an Geschäfts- und Vertriebspartner zu übertragen, um behördliche Genehmigungen zu erlangen oder um die Vertragsprodukte in der Öffentlichkeit bekannt zu machen. Die Vertragsparteien verpflichten sich, diese Geheimhaltungspflicht auch sämtlichen Geschäfts- und Vertriebspartnern zu überbinden und sämtlichen Betriebsangehörigen aufzuerlegen, die aufgrund ihrer Tätigkeit Kenntnisse des Vertrags-Know-hows erlangen können. Die Geheimhaltungspflicht bezieht sich auch auf die Regelungen dieses Vertrages. Die Geheimhaltungspflicht bleibt nach Beendigung des Vertrages aufrecht.

Confidentiality
1. The parties reciprocally undertake to keep confidential any information exchanged and/or to be exchanged before and during the term of this agreement and any acquired knowledge of basic principles, work methods, manufacture, new developments, enhancements and other details concerning the business operations affecting the contractual products and the performance of the agreement, also where they have not expressly been designated as private or confidential. This does not apply insofar as disclosure is necessary in order to transmit know-how to business and sales partners, to obtain official authorisations or to make the contractual products public. The parties undertake to impose this non-disclosure undertaking on all business and sales partners and all employees who may acquire knowledge of the contractual know-how by reason of their occupation. The obligation of confidentiality also applies to the provisions in this agreement. The obligation of confidentiality shall remain in effect after termination of the agreement.

My educational background is in law and humanities (Master of Laws from the Central European University, Budapest, Hungary; Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and European Studies from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand).
I have extensive experience in translating law and business related texts (law textbook, statutes, contracts, memoranda, annual accounts, letters etc.) for the law faculty of a university, as a trainee lawyer at a large international law firm, and for various private clients. I also regularly proofread a wide range of documents (mainly law related, but not exclusively) in both English and German.
Furthermore, I have extensive experience in teaching English as a second language, and am accustomed to lending language assistance to staff members and clients.
