Bio
Due to 20 years of experience as a software developer, IT is my main area of specialization.
Since I work as a consultant, I have experience with many different branches: breweries, industrial cake production, steel industry.

I studied mathematics and linguistics with focus on English at Bielefeld university.
When I married (an Englishman) and had children soon after, I only worked temporarily, writing English correpondence for a Scientific Bookshop and teaching German to British soldiers.
During that time I took my exam as translator and interpreter with the Dortmund Chamber of Commerce.
In 1988 I took courses as a software developer and have been working in that field since then, writing database applications and interfaces.
In that job, I have also been translating manuals, course descriptions, web content and general correspondence.
