My name
is Firas Slim. I have been teaching Arabic Language
and Literature at the German International School of Beirut for the last 2
years since I am a holder of a bachelor in Arabic Language and Literature from
the American University of Beirut. Besides teaching I am the main research
assistant for Professor Lyall Armstrong at AUB, where we both work on
translating ancient Arabic texts to English and interpreting their Arabic
poetry. We successfully translated:
- Kitab al talaq for Ibn Taymiya
- Zikr al mawt for Ibn Abi al Dounia
And are currently working on:
- Kitab al ta’azi for Mada’ini I feel I have a deep understanding
and knowledge of the Arabic Language and Literature that would allow me to
excel in related field and I would be honored to have a chance in working with
you. I am driven by excellence of work and I make sure to do my task to
the outmost standard. I hope
