Born and lived in Turkey, I studied American Culture and Literature at Hacettepe University. I got my master's degree in the same university at the Translation and Interpreting Department. I worked as a translator and interpreter for 9 years at a governmental institution in Turkey. I currently live in London, UK.
During my career, I primarily translated the following documents inter alia:
- Meeting minutes of the international institutions such as the United Nations, NATO, OECD, European Union, Council of Europe, FIEP, EUROGENDFOR, Interpol, Europol and IOM;
- Speeches, presentations, information notes;
- Reports, strategy documents, conferences, symposiums, workshops;
- Guides, brochures, contracts, agreements;
- Letters to international organisations;
- General letters, certificates and other official documents.
