N° XYZ qui consistait à installer un revêtement en PTFE entre l’encadrement et le joint des hublots largables afin de diminuer les efforts de largage.
Suite à de nouvelles investigations menées sur des hublots cabine VIP, il a été mis en évidence que la surépaisseur de ces hublots engendre un effort de largage supérieur à celui nécessaire au largage des hublots largables standards avec revêtement en PTFE.
Afin de diminuer de manière acceptable ces efforts, XXX a développé une amélioration qui consiste à déposer le revêtement en PTFE et à installer des joints de hublot en silicone à la place des joints polychloroprène actuellement installés sur les hublots cabine VIP de l’appareil.

XXX introduced a protective measure through the ALERT SERVICE BULLETIN
No. XYZ, which consisted of installing a PTFE skived film between the frame and the seal of the jettisonable windows, in order to reduce the force required for jettisoning.
New investigations carried out on VIP cabin windows equipped with PTFE skived film have revealed that the thickness of these windows creates greater jettisoning forces than with standard jettisonable windows equipped with PTFE skived film.
In order to reduce these forces to acceptable levels, XXX has developed an improvement which consists of removing the PTFE skived film and installing silicone window seals instead of the polychloroprene seals currently installed on VIP cabin windows.
For helicopters whose S/N is listed on Page 1, this ALERT SERVICE BULLETIN supersedes the instructions given in ALERT SERVICE BULLETIN No. XYZ.
XXX renders compliance with this ALERT SERVICE BULLETIN mandatory for aircraft whose Serial Number is listed on page 1.

L’année aéronautique 2017 s’est terminée au Moyen Orient avec le Salon Aéronautique le plus important de la région, le « DUBAI AIR SHOW » du 12 au 16 novembre 2017. Alors que le salon de Dubaï semblait paralysé par les conflits et le ralentissement de l’économie au moyen orient, Airbus est revenu en force sur le devant de la scène avec la commande historique par un fond d’investissement américain de 430 Airbus (A320 et A330) signée pour un contrat de 42 milliards d’euros.
XXX était bien entendu présent au sein des 600 m2 idéalement placés réservés par le GIFAS. XXX et YYY (branche EAU) étaient représentés par l’équipe locale et accompagnée de F.C..
Positionné en face du stand Dassault, nous avons pu exposer le savoir-faire de XXX a de nombreux prestigieux visiteurs civils et militaires, toujours curieux de voir le développement de notre croissance dans nos divers domaines.
Plus concrètement, nous avons participé à de nombreux meetings avec nos partenaires locaux émiriens et avec nos partenaires internationaux. Notamment avec l’industrie de la défense émirienne, Strata et TPI qui sont fournisseurs de pièces pour Boeing et Airbus et qui restent à la recherche de capacités industrielles (assemblage de pièces métalliques) ; un partenariat devrait être signé très prochainement.
Pour nos activités de services, les EAU ont un besoin important en formation. Ils souhaitent former des ab initio et sont à la recherche d’école de formation.
Notre partenariat avec Aerocampus et AHTS (instruction maintenance hélicoptère) est un atout pour participer à ce développement. Mais comme le dit un proverbe régional « les occidentaux ont la montre, nous avons le temps » …On aimerait aller vite sur tous ces sujets mais le tempo n’est pas le même ici.
Ce salon nous a également permis de retrouver tous nos partenaires actuels (Dassault, Airbus, Sabena, Aerocampus etc…) pour échanger sur nos projets en cours de développement en métropole.

Translation - English XXX at the Dubai Airshow
One of the last aviation events of the year took place in the Middle East at the DUBAI AIRSHOW, the most important in the region, held from November 12 to 16, 2017. It looked as if the show might be spinning its wheels due to regional conflicts and slumping economic growth in the Middle East, but Airbus quickly grabbed the spotlight with the announcement of a historic order by an American private equity fund for 430 Airbus airplanes (A320 and A330) in an agreement worth €42 billion.
Naturally, XXX had its own stand in the perfectly situated 600 square-meter space reserved by GIFAS. XXX and YYY (UAE branch) were represented by the local team and accompanied by F.C.
Located across from the Dassault stand, we were able to exhibit XXX’s unique know-how to many prestigious civil and military visitors, who remain keenly interested in the growth we’re experiencing in different sectors.
We also did some hands-on work at business meetings with our local Emirati and our international partners—in particular with the UAE defense industry, Strata and TPI, which supply parts to Boeing and Airbus and remain on the lookout for new industrial capabilities (assembly of metal parts); a partnership is in the works and an agreement should be signed shortly.
For our service sector, the UAE currently has major training needs, as the Emirates are looking for Ab Initio pilot training and for a training academy.
Our partnership with Aerocampus and AHTS (helicopter maintenance training) offers us an advantage as we look to gain a foothold in this developing market. But as they say in a local proverb, “you westerners have the watches but we have the time.” We’d like to move quickly on all these developments, but things move at a different pace over here.
The air show also provided us an opportunity to meet with our current partners (Dassault, Airbus, Sabena, Aerocampus, etc.) to talk about our respective projects underway back in France.

Contrairement aux autres industries, les entreprises du médicament ne sont pas seules décisionnaires de la mise sur le marché de leurs produits. Un organisme national se charge de la décision finale, tout comme en cas d’accord favorable sur le prix. Ce dernier n’est pas un simple reflet de la valeur perçue par l’utilisateur final mais prend en compte l’utilité générée à plus grande échelle.
Une caractéristique propre à cette industrie est l’asymétrie d’information très présente. En effet, le patient ne choisit pas lui même le médicament, le médecin prend la décision pour lui. Cette séparation entre les fonctions de décideur et de consommateur ne doit pas être sous-estimée par les laboratoires pharmaceutiques pour orienter correctement leurs stratégies marketing et communication.
Il y a quelques années encore, le patient acceptait ce statut passif. Dorénavant, avec l’ampleur d’Internet et l’accès en quelques clics à l’information, ils font de plus en plus de recherche concernant leurs symptômes et traitements envisageables. This separation between the decision-maker and the consumer should not be underestimated by pharmaceutical companies to avoid any misdirection in their marketing and communication strategies.
Just a few years ago, the patient was content to blindly follow orders. But with the rapid development of the Internet, it only takes a few clicks to gather information. Depuis que Jean-Paul II a forgé le concept de « structure de péché », la théologie morale et politique dispose d’un vocable pour nommer le conditionnement par lequel les groupes sociaux disposent leurs membres vers le vice. Ce concept se concentre sur la dynamique collective par laquelle l’agent se soustrait à ses devoirs, et met en lumière la « loi du silence » qui s’instaure par la complaisance des uns et l’indifférence des autres. Il soulève la question de sa liberté morale de l’agent, précisément l’acte de l’intelligence par lequel celui-ci questionne les pratiques auxquelles il semble conditionné. L’article se propose d’investiguer la dynamique collective à l’œuvre en entreprise ainsi que la liberté morale de ses membres. Il prend appui sur le phénomène de whistleblowing où cette dynamique et cette liberté sont particulièrement prégnantes.
Introduction
Les entreprises sont soucieuses de conserver la licence to operate que les autorités sociétales leur reconnaissent. Pour ce faire, elles mettent en œuvre des politiques éthiques couronnées par une procédure de whistleblowing censée favoriser le contrôle citoyen. Applying the concept of structure of sin to the phenomenon of whistle-blowing
When Pope John Paul II constructed the concept of structure of sin, he introduced a term to the field of moral and political theology to refer to the conditioning by which social groups predispose their members toward vice. This concept mainly concerns the collective dynamics through which the agent fails to fulfill his duty, and draws particular attention to the conspiracy of silence which is instituted due to the complacency of certain agents and the indifference of others. It raises the question of the agent’s moral freedom, and, more specifically, the act of intelligence through which the agent calls into question those practices which would appear to have resulted in such conditioning. This article examines the collective dynamics at work in business settings and the moral freedom of employees through a closer examination of whistle-blowing, a phenomenon in which these dynamics and these questions of freedom are of particular importance.
Introduction
Companies are careful to maintain the license to operate accorded to them by societal authorities. To this end, they introduce business ethics policies which strongly encourage whistle-blowing, a process intended to promote surveillance by all its members. In reality, far from being considered loyal members of the organization, whistle-blowers are often perceived as traitors by their superiors and colleagues. In such a case, the practices of the company have strayed from societal values, often without management being aware of the phenomenon or having intentionally desired it – or at the least, no one at the company could possibly conceive of behaving differently than anybody else. Each individual receives reinforcement through collective dynamics that give the company culture a certain independence from societal culture. The conditioning of the company’s members has rendered it blind, with the added risk of losing its license to operate if a whistle-blower should decide to take action.
This article examines the conditioning that leads the company, its management, and its employees to behave in a manner that strays from societal expectations. It acknowledges the existence of these expectations, without critiquing their contents from a moral and political theology perspective. The article examines the behavior of the agents involved and the underlying phenomenology, making use of concepts from both disciplines. One such concept is the structure of sin that Pope John Paul II introduced in the Encyclical Letter Sollicitudo Rei Socialis in explicit reference to the concept of social sin, which he defined in the apostolic exhortation Reconciliatio et Paenitentia as the “influences and obstacles” introduced in the world through failure to observe the Ten Commandments: “Not to observe these is to offend God and hurt one's neighbor ... far beyond the actions and brief life span of an individual” (SRS § 36).
This article employs the concept of structure of sin to analyze social pressure at work in organizations. It attempts to determine to what extent the company, its management, and its employees could act in such a way that this pressure would foster virtue instead of resulting in a structure of sin. The article focuses on the act of intelligence by which the agent questions the collective practices at work to condition the agent not to pursue this same line of questioning. It explores how the agent may exercise prudence to regain his moral freedom when subjected to such conditioning, thereby creating an opposition between social pressure and prudential reflection. This opposition is illustrated by the disturbing fact that, in many cases, whistle-blowers are excluded from their companies. The article then describes the collective dynamics of social pressure that legitimize this exclusion, and uses the concept of structure of sin to analyze these dynamics. Lastly, it takes a closer look at the prudential reflection of whistle-blowers that liberates them from social pressure for the benefit of the company.

le Khanat occupe la partie orientale du nord de
la Lémurie. L’immense chaîne montagneuse de
l’Axos le sépare des plaines de Klaar au sud, et le
Tyr Gelé du Valgard à l’ouest. Son ouverture sur
l’océan oriental lui accorde un climat un peu plus
clément que celui du Valgard, mais cela reste un
pays froid et rigoureux, qui subit de longs hivers.
Une vaste steppe herbeuse occupe le sud du
Khanat ; à mesure que l’on remonte vers le
nord, au-delà du Bois du Sage, la steppe laisse
progressivement place à une lande pauvre en
végétation, aux nombreuses tourbières, qui s’étend
jusqu’à l’immense taïga bordée d’une toundra au
sol perpétuellement gelé.
Sans doute peuplé en différentes étapes au cours
du premier et du deuxième Âges de l’homme, le
Khanat a évolué dans un relatif isolement, et ses

Translation - English Imposing natural boundaries enclose the Khanat region in the northeast of Lemuria. The massive Axos Mountain chain separates Khanat from the Plains of Klaar to the south, while the Frozen Tyr River forms the border with Valgard to the west. Its exposure to the Eastern Ocean makes the weather in Khanat a bit more clement than in Valgard, but it’s still a frigid and unforgiving climate with long, bitter winters.
The south of Khanat is covered with endless leagues of treeless grasslands. Further north, beyond the Forest of the Sage, these steppes progressively give way to barren peat bogs that extend all the way to a vast subarctic forest bordered by permanently frozen tundra.
Khanat was undoubtedly settled in successive waves during the First and Second Ages of Man. It’s remained relatively isolated from the southern countries. The local populations have always had dealings with the rest of Lemuria (to varying degrees) throughout their history, but for people from the South, Khanat remains an exotic land with strange customs.
Three different ethnic groups inhabit the region. The Ghatai are a nomadic people from the southern Steppes. They never established any cities of their own, but many generations ago they conquered their neighbours, the Xi Lu, who were earlier inhabitants of the region. The Xi Lu originally established a brilliant urban civilization before falling into decadence under a series of petty kings known for their cruelty and corruption. They had been easy pickings for the Ghatai in their thirst for conquest. The third group, the mysterious Wei, eek out a meagre existence in the harsh subarctic climate to the north, where they’ve rarely been bothered by the ambitions of their southern neighbours—after all, who would be crazy enough to want to fight over a country buried under ice and snow, where the endless winter is the only true sovereign?
