Background and Education
Originally from the US, I moved to Germany in 2003 after completing my bachelor’s degree in French and German with a concentration in international studies. In 2009, after study in both Germany and France, I earned a master’s degree in art history and visual culture discourses. Since 2004, I have worked as a business English instructor and freelance translator.

Specialization
I specialize in the translation of texts from German and French into English on art history and related subjects including film, architecture, photography, design, history, literature, theology and philosophy. Past translation assignments include academic papers, articles for art exhibit catalogs, reviews for film journals and speeches.
My experience as a business English instructor and extensive travel throughout Europe, however, has provided me with the understanding needed to translate texts on a variety of subjects such as business, consulting and the restaurant and travel industries.
