وحجر الصبي والمجنون مصلحة لا يقترن بها مفسدة وسقوط القضاء عن الأصول وفروع الفروع مصلحة لهم مفسدة في حق الفروع

والحوالة مصلحة للمحيل ببراءة ذمته فإن كان المحال عليه أحسن قضاء كان ذلك مصلحة للمحتال وإن كان سيء القضاء فإن ذلك مفسدة جائزة التحمل
والوقف مصلحة أخروية فإن شرط النظر لنفسه أثبت على الوقف وعلى النظر وإن وصى به إلى أقوم به وأفضل وقفه يتفاوت أجر مصارفه وقد تكون مصالح مصارفه دنيوية وأخروية والوقف المتصل أفضل من المنقطع عند من صحح المنقطع
وفي الوصايا مصلحتان أحدهما للموصي في الآجل وهي مختلفة باختلاف رتب الموصى به البائنة للموصى له وهي ضربان أحدهما ما لم يوقف على شرط فمصلحته إلا أن يصرفه الموصى له في شيء من القربات فتكون مصلحته آجلة الضرب الثاني ما تعلق استحقاقه على قربة كالوصية للحجاج والغزاة والفقهاء والقراء فيكون مصلحة الموصى له عاجلة وآجلة

والصبر على البلاء وما يرجى من إجابة الدعاء وإطعام أهل الميت وبذل الأموال كلها والمنافع بأسرها إذا أريد بها وجه الله تعالى فيها مصلحتان إحداهما للباذل أخروية فإن كان يرتاح إلى العطاء فطوبى له وإن كان ممن يشح بنفسه فجاهد نفسه حتى بذلها فله أجران إحداهما على جهاد نفسه والثاني على بذلها المصلحة الماسة للمبذولة وهي مصلحة عاجلة ولذلك كانت اليد العليا خيرا من اليد السفلى لأن مصلحتها أخروية دائمة ومصلحة اليد السفلى دنيوية منقطعة
وفي الصلح فائدة أخروية للمسامح ودنيوية للمسامح وللمتوسط بينهما أجر المسبب إلى المصلحتين
ومن توكل تبرعا كانت مصلحته أخروية ومصلحة الموكل دنيوية وإن توكل بجعل كانت المصلحتان دنيويتين إلا أن سامح ببعضها ومن توكل في طاعة كالحج والعمرة فإن تبرع كانت المصلحة أخروية ومصلحة الوكيل دنيوية وإن شرط عوض المثل وسامح في العوض كانت مصلحته دنيوية وأخروية
والعارية مصلحة أخروية للمعير إذا قصد بذلك وجه الله سبحانه دنيوية للمستعير وقد تكون أخروية من الطرفين كاستعارة سلاح الجهاد وجننه وجمله واستعارة المصاحف وكتب العلم والحديث

والإباحات والضيافات مصالحها لباذلها أخروية إذا قصد بها وجه الله ولقابليها دنيوية
وأما إطعام المضطرين ودفع الصوال عن الضعفاء وإنقاذ الغرقى وتخليص كل مشرف على الهلاك كلها أخروية لمن قصد بها وجه الله عز وجل ودنيوية للمنقذ من ذلك الضرب وأجور هذه الوسائل أفضل من مقاصدها دنيوية فائتة وأجور وسائلها أخروية باقية
وأما الشفاعات فمصالحها للشافعين أخروية إذا قصدوا بذلك وجه الله عز وجل
وأما المشفوع لهم فإن كانت الشفاعة في أمر دنيوي فهي دنيوية وسيلتها خير منها وإن كانت أخروية كمن يشفع تعليم علم أو إعانة على عبادة من العبادات كالجهاد والحج فهي للمشفوع له أخروية وأجر المشفوع إليه أفضل من أجر الشافع لأن الشافع مسبب والمشفوع إليه مباشر والمقاصد أفضل من الوسائل
Translation - English A Section on the Immediate and Expected Maṣāliḥ and Mafāsid
There are two categories of maṣāliḥ and mafāsid: the immediate and the expected. For example, killing something that is harmful if it attacks a person is an immediate mafsada for the one that is attacking and an immediate maṣlaḥa for the one being attacked. If the being is not attacking, killing it will be, for the being, an immediate mafsada that was committed in order to avert an expected mafsada. In the same way, treating illnesses and taking bitter medicines are intended to ward off an immediate mafsada or obtain an immediate maṣlaḥa; and fighting disbelievers, rebels, and those who refrain from fulfilling their duties, is intended to ward off an immediate mafsada. Enjoining the good and forbidding the evil are sometimes intended for an immediate maṣlaḥa, such as when enjoining the obligatory acts of worship, and sometimes intended more for an expected maṣlaḥa than an immediate one. The caliphate is a means of obtaining both immediate and expected maṣāliḥ and warding off immediate and expected mafāsid, as is making a judgement, witnessing, and assisting rulers and caliphs in doing their duties.
Some of the maṣāliḥ of rulers are worldly, and the maṣāliḥ of the citizens are divided into worldly and otherworldly. This applies also to positions of authority in specific matters, such as (having the authority of) gouging out the eye of someone who invades peoples’ privacy [by looking] into their homes. The mafsada of invading peoples’ privacy is warded off by committing the mafsada of gouging out the eye. All the Sharīʿa-prescribed punishments are immediate mafāsid for those who are punished, but generally, they are maṣāliḥ that serve as deterrents to that type of people. In most cases, the punishments vary according to the degree of the mafsada.
Expenditure involves immediate maṣāliḥ for the recipients and expected maṣāliḥ for the givers and freeing slaves is an immediate maṣlaḥa for the freed slaves and deferred maṣlaḥa for the freeing masters. The latter also involves an expected maṣlaḥa of inheritance for the master who frees the slaves. A father’s taking possession of his son’s slave girl by impregnating her is a mafsada for the son but a maṣlaḥa for the father, but I do not l know any practical example of this. All types of goodness and good deeds, whether major or minor, involve worldly or otherworldly maṣāliḥ for the recipients and otherworldly maṣāliḥ for the givers. The rewards for these deeds vary according to the degree and merit of these deeds, and the least of them is an atom’s weight of goodness. All prohibited acts, whether major or minor, are either immediate or deferred mafāsid for those who perform them, and the sins vary according to the degree of their evil. The least of these mafāsid is also equal to an atom’s weight.
Doing an injustice to people, whether minor or major, is an immediate mafsada for the person who is the target of it. However, this will act as expiation for his sins later on and entitle him to take some of the rewards that the person who did the injustice to him had gained for their good deeds; and both results are enormous maṣāliḥ. Moreover, if the person who has been oppressed is content with his affliction and is patient with it, he will receive the reward of those who are patient and satisfied. This is the reason why devout people are as pleased with afflictions as they are with benefits.
A vow is a deferred maṣlaḥa for the person who makes the vow, and the reward varies according to its merit. If the act that is vowed to be performed pertains to the person who makes the vow, such as remembrances, pilgrimage, minor pilgrimage, circumambulation (around the Kaʿba), or seclusion in mosques for worship (iʿtikāf), it then involves an expected maṣlaḥa. If the vowed act relates to someone else, its maṣlaḥa may be related to the recipient’s worldly or otherworldly life, or to both of them. If the benefit from the vow relates to the recipients’ religiosity, then the two maṣāliḥ (those obtained by the person who makes the vow and its recipient) are otherworldly. The reward of such a vow varies according to the degree of the obtained maṣlaḥa or the averted mafsada.
Similarly, expiations are good acts that compensate for missed maṣāliḥ, by performing that which atones for them. For example, expiations performed during pilgrimage atone for the missed parts that were required to complete the pilgrimage. The maṣlaḥa involved in expiations are otherworldly if the expiation is performed by fasting, but if the expiation is performed with money, the maṣlaḥa involved will be worldly for the recipients and otherworldly for the givers.
Expiations of oaths, whether obligatory, recommended, or permissible, atone for breaking oaths. Despite being a mafsada that should be prohibited, the Sharīʿa permits the breaking of oaths, as this may be urgently necessary, and that is why it needs to be atoned for by expiation. The maṣlaḥa of expiation is superior (to the maṣlaḥa of not breaking the oath), as the expiation involves a reward, which is why it is not a sin and as obligatory as zakat and the other expiations for acts of worship.
Putting an adult under guardianship is a mafsada for him, but it is permissible to do so for slaves, the sick, and the bankrupt. This is done by giving priority to the maṣlaḥa of the master, the inheritors, and the creditors of the bankrupt over the maṣlaḥa of the person under guardianship. Putting a fool person under guardianship is meant for his own maṣlaḥa and putting a child or a mad person under guardianship is a mafsada-free maṣlaḥa. Making it inapplicable to punish parents is a maṣlaḥa for them and a mafsada for their children.
Killing a Muslim for a disbeliever and a free person for a slave is a mafsada that is unacceptable to sane people, but this is not so when killing men for women. Making peace with disbelievers involves the maṣlaḥa of maintaining the rights of Muslims and sparing their blood. However, it also involves the mafsada of disbelief, and that is why this is permissible for four month and not permissible for more than one year. There is a difference of opinion among the scholars in regard to this period of more than four months but less than one year, as the maṣāliḥ and mafāsid of it vary. Nonetheless, if Muslims need it, and they are afraid of their enemies, reconciliation becomes lawful for up to ten years, because the maṣlaḥa of such a reconciliation becomes predominant, and avoiding it would involve a great mafsada.
All the Sharīʿa-prescribed punishments are mafāsid for the people who are punished, as they cause pain. However, the fact that they serve as deterrents for those who are punished, and also for others, makes them permissible. They are therefore maṣāliḥ in the sense that they act as deterrents and expiations. Likewise, fighting against the disbelievers, rebellious groups, and those who refrain from fulfilling their religious duties, is meant to ward off the mafsada involved in these matters. Also, debt-transfer (ḥawāla) is a maṣlaḥa for the original debtor, as it involves removing the liability from him. If the new debtor is better at repaying the debt, this is a maṣlaḥa for the creditor; but if he is bad at repaying the debt, this is a bearable mafsada.
An endowment (waqf) is a religious maṣlaḥa. If an endower appoints himself as a caretaker of the endowment, he will be rewarded for both the endowment and the caretaking; but if he entrusts it someone who can manage it better than him, this will be better. The rewards of an endowment can vary and the maṣāliḥ of an endowment may be worldly or otherworldly. Also, a continuous endowment is better than one that is discontinuous, according to those who consider a discontinuous endowment to be valid.
Wills involve two maṣāliḥ. The first is for the testator in the Hereafter, and the rewards of a will differ according to the status of the willed properties. The second is for the legatee, and this is of two categories. The first is that which is not bound by a specific condition; the maṣlaḥa of this type of will is worldly, unless legatee spends it in a good deed, which would make its maṣlaḥa otherworldly. The second is that which is restricted to a good deed, such as making a will in favour of pilgrims, fighters in God’s cause, jurists, or Qur’an reciters. The maṣlaḥa obtained by the legatee in this type of will is both worldly and otherworldly.
Supplication is a maṣlaḥa that involves the anticipated maṣlaḥa of the supplication being answered, either by the obtaining of a maṣlaḥa or the averting of a mafsada, or both. Spreading the greeting of salaam is also a maṣlaḥa; it involves the maṣlaḥa of developing affection among people. Good words likewise include the maṣlaḥa, of attuning people’s hearts. Also, visiting the sick involves the maṣlaḥa of consoling the sick and rewarding the visitor. likewise, washing, enshrouding, carrying, and burying the dead are maṣāliḥ, as they involve honouring the dead, consoling their relatives, and rewarding those who do these deeds.
The funeral prayer involves an otherworldly maṣlaḥa for both the deceased and the person who is praying. The person who is praying is rewarded for praying and the deceased obtains the maṣlaḥa of the Hereafter and avoids its mafāsid, as the Prophet said, “O God! Save him (from harm) and forgive him, receive him with honour, and make his grave spacious.” Supplicating to God to save the deceased from harm, to receive him with honour, and to make his grave spacious invokes the maṣāliḥ of the Hereafter. By consoling the family of the deceased, the consoler receives the maṣlaḥa of a reward in the Hereafter, because anyone who consoles an afflicted person receives a reward equal to his. The maṣlaḥa that the family of the deceased receives from the consolation is the relief that they acquire from being patient and accepting God’s decree. Patience on affliction, the answer hoped for from the supplication, feeding the family of the deceased, giving money, and doing anything beneficial for others, all involve - if done for the sake of God - two maṣāliḥ, one of which is otherworldly for the giver. What a great reward he will get if he feels comfortable with the giving! However, if he feels a grudge, but strives against his feeling and gives, he will have two rewards; one for striving against his desires and the other for initiating an urgent maṣlaḥa for those who need it. This maṣlaḥa is worldly (for the recipient) and that is why the upper hand (the giving hand) is better than the lower hand (the receiving hand); because the maṣlaḥa of the former is otherworldly and everlasting while the maṣlaḥa of the latter is worldly and discontinuous.
Reconciliation involves an otherworldly maṣlaḥa for the reconciler and a worldly one for the reconciled. The mediator will receive the reward for being the cause of both maṣāliḥ. Acting voluntarily as an agent involves an otherworldly maṣlaḥa for the agent and a worldly one for the mandator. However, if the agent is paid, the maṣlaḥa of both parties will be purely worldly, unless the agent voluntarily waives some of his fees. Similarly, performing an act of worship, such as pilgrimage or minor pilgrimage, on behalf of another person involves, if done voluntarily, an otherworldly maṣlaḥa for the agent and a worldly one for the mandator. However, if the agent receives the standard wage, but voluntarily waives some of it, this maṣlaḥa will be both worldly and otherworldly.
ʿĀriya (utility use permission) involves an otherworldly maṣlaḥa for the giver, if he does this for the sake of God, and it also involves a worldly maṣlaḥa for the recipients. However, the maṣlaḥa may be otherworldly for both parties in some cases, such as using weapons, armour, and means of transport for jihad, and copies of the Qur’an and books of knowledge and Ḥadīth. Loans also involve an otherworldly maṣlaḥa for the lenders, if they make them for the sake of God, and a worldly one for the borrowers, if they spend them on worldly matters. However, if the loans are spent on otherworldly matters, their maṣlaḥa will be otherworldly for both parties.
Hospitality and permissible donations involve worldly maṣāliḥ for the recipients and otherworldly ones for those who give them, if they are given for the sake of God. Feeding the needy, defending the weak against offenders, and rescuing those facing drowning or destruction involve otherworldly maṣāliḥ, if they are done for the sake of God, and worldly ones for those who are rescued or helped. The rewards of these actions are better than their purposes, as the latter is worldly and discontinuous while the former is otherworldly and eternal.
The maṣlaḥa obtained by intercessors for their intercession is otherworldly, if it is done for the sake of God, and the maṣāliḥ for the beneficiaries of the interaction are worldly, if intercession occurs in a worldly matter. In this case, the means of intercession are better than the intercession itself. On the other hand, if the intercession relates to a religious matter, such as teaching knowledge or helping people to perform an act of worship, for example jihad or pilgrimage, the maṣlaḥa for the beneficiary of the intercession is otherworldly. Also, in this case, the reward received by the recipient of the intercession is better than the reward obtained by the intercessor, because the latter is just a cause while the former is the direct performer of the good act; and actions are better than their means.

نحن راشد بن سعيد أل مكتوم حاكم إمارة دبى بما أنه بموجب عقد التأسيس والنظام الأساسى المؤرخين فى 10-3-1975 والمرفق بهذا المرسوم نسخة بكل منهما قد ألف السادة التالية أسماؤهم:

ثالثا: تنظم الشركة وتدار بموجب العقد التاسيسى والنظام الأساسى المشار اليهما والموقعين من المؤسسين وذلك مع مراعاة أحكام هذا المرسوم.
رابعا: تكون مدينة دبى المركز الرئيسى للشركة ولا يجوز أن تنشئ لها فروعا أو مكاتب أو وكالات فى إمارة دبى أو خارجها إلا بعد الحصول على الموافقة الخطية لحكومة دبى.
خامسا: تكون مسؤولية كل مساهم فى الشركة محدودة بمقدار المبلغ غير المدفوع من قيمة أسهمه فى الشركة.
سادسا: تكتسب الشركة شخصية قانونية ومتميزة عن شخصيات أعضائها ولها الحق كشخص قانونى وباسمها التجارى أن تقوم بجميع أعمال الإستثمار والتمويل والخدمات المصرفية وغير ذلك مما هو منصوص عليه فى عقد تاسيسها.
سابعا: لايجوز للشركة أن تنضم أو تندمج فى أى هيئة أخرى أو أن تساهم فى رأس مال أى بنك مرخص أخر إلا بموافقة حكومة دبى الخطية.
ثامنا: لا يجوز للشركة أن تعدل عقدها التأسيسى أونظامها الأساسى أو أن تضع أية أنظمة أخرى مغايرة لأحكام هذا المرسوم إلا بموافقة حكومة دبى الخطية.
تاسعا: لا يجوز للشركة أن تنهى أعمالها أو أن تتوقف عنها إلا بإذن خطى من حكومة دبى ووفقا للشروط التى تضعها الحكومة.
عاشرا: على الشركة أن تقتطع كل سنة نسبة من أرباحها الصافية لا تقل عن عشرة بالمائة وتخصصها لحساب احتياطيها القانونى حتى يساوى هذا الاحتياطى رأس مال الشركة المصرح به.
حادى عشر: تقدم الشركة لحكومة دبى فى بداية عملها ومن ثم فى بداية كل سنة ميلادية قائمة بأسماء أعضاء مجلس الأدارة والعضو المنتدب- إن وجد- ومديرى الشركة كما تبلغ الحكومة عن كل تغيير يطرأ على هذة القائمة خلال السنة وكذلك تقدم الشركة لحكومة دبى خلال ثلاثة أشهر من ختام كل سنة ميلادية صورة عن تقريرها السنوى وميزانيتها السنوية مصدقة من مراقب حسابات قانونى.
ثانى عشر: تخضع الشركة لأحكام القوانين والأنظمة المعمول بها فى إمارة دبى.

Decree
Of the Foundation of Dubai Islamic Bank
(a joint stock company limited)
This is Rashid bin Saʿeed Al Maktum, Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai
According to the contract of foundation and the statute dated 10/03/1975— a copy of each is attached hereto— the following gentlemen, hereinafter referred to as "the Founders", have formed a group with the aim of founding a joint stock company limited in Dubai through a decree issued by myself. The partners are all from and reside in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
Their names are as follows:
1- Saʿeed Ahmad Lutah
2- Nasir Rashid Lutah
3- Sultan Ahmad Lutah
4- Muhammad Nasir Lutah
5- ʿAbdullah Saʿeed
At the Founders' request dated 10/03/ 1975, I have decreed the following:
First: According to this decree, a joint stock company limited shall be founded in Dubai and named "Dubai Islamic Bank", hereinafter referred to as " the Company".
Second: the Company's stated capital shall be fifty million dirhams divided into hundred thousand shares. The value of each share shall be five hundred dirhams. The Founders shall subscribe to ten thousand shares as per the ratios stated in the contract of foundation. The remaining ninty thousand shares shall be offered for subscription to the UAE citizens. Subscription by non-UAE citizens shall be permitted with the consent of the Ruler as per the ratio stated by the Company's board of directors.
Third: The Company shall be run snf sdministered according to the contract of foundation and statute mentioned above and signed by the Founders, subject to the provisions of this decree.
Fourth: The headquarter of the Company shall be in Dubai, and the Company shall not be permitted to open branches, offices or agencies in or outside Dubai except with the written consent of the Dubai government.
Fifth: The liability of each of the Company's shareholders shall be limited to the value of the unpaid ratio of his shares in the Company.
Sixth: The Company shall obtain a legal personality distinctive from that of its members, and it shall hold the right, as a legal entity, to practise, in its commercial name, all works of investment, finacne, banking services and other activities as stated in its contract of foundation.
Seventh: The Company shall not be permitted to merge or affiliate with any other company or corporation, or subscribe to the capital of any other licensed bank except with the written consent of the Dubai government.
Eighth : The Company shall not be permitted to modify its contract of foundation or statute, or to initiate any statutes different from the provisions of this decree, except with the written consent of the Dubai government.
Ninth: The Company shall not be permitted to end or suspend its activities except with the written consent of the Dubai government and in accordance with the conditions set by the government.
Tenth: The Company shall be required to deduct a yearly ratio, not less than 10%, of its net prpofit and devote it to its legal reserve until that reserve is equal to the Company's stated capital.
Eleventh: At the start of its activity and in the beginning of each calender year, the Company shall provide the Dubai government with a list of the names of the Company's board of directors members, managers and the managing director, if any. The Company shall also inform the government of any change to that list during the any part of theyear. In addition, within three months of the end of each calender year, the Company shall provide the Dubai government with a copy of its yearly report and budget, certified by a legal auditor.
Twelfth: The Company shall submit to the laws and rules followed in the Emirate of Dubai.

Source text - English A main objective of the Plan was to facilitate structural changes within the economy and diversify the economic base to generate new employment opportunities aimed at supporting population increases, while promoting activities appropriately in line with the cultural and educational nature of the City. The Plan also sought to foster greater participation on the part of the private sector and greater coordination between public and private entities in the implementation of the Plan, particularly regarding urban redevelopment projects in the Central Area.
The Plan called for urban redevelopment of priority areas through private sector investment possibly through public-private partnerships coordinated through a redevelopment agency with city-wide jurisdiction, able to prepare detailed action plans, expropriate land, pay compensation and assemble sites for sale back to the private sector.
Additionally, the Plan aimed to promote the establishment of suitable population densities and improve the living conditions of citizens while developing a greater human resource base. Lastly, the Plan aimed to apply mechanisms for maintaining a balanced fiscal policy.
The Plan proposed a medium density strategy for the development of the City. Densities would range from over 350 persons per hectare around the central area to below 100 persons per hectare beyond the 4th Ring Road. A number of self-sufficient suburban centres were proposed. Certain activities that were concentrated in the vicinity of the university would be decentralized toward village clusters outside the Central Area. Also, certain facilities and services would be relocated from the City to proposed village clusters that would serve as centres of attraction for rural populations in order to divert migratory pressures away from the City. Within the City, sufficient space in appropriate locations was to be provided for residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, institutional, and recreational uses to meet the needs of the population.
Translation - Arabic ومن الأهداف الرئيسية للخطة تيسير التعديلات الهيكلية للإقتصاد وتنويع القاعدة الاقتصادية لخلق فرص عمل جديدة بهدف دعم الأعداد المتزايدة للسكان مع تشجيع الأنشطة بما يتماشى والطبيعة الثقافية والتعليمية للمدينة. وتهدف الخطة أيضا إلى تشجيع زيادة مشاركة القطاع الخاص وإلى زيادة التنسيق بين الكيانات الخاصة والعامة في تطبيق الخطة، لا سيما في في مشاريع التنمية العمرانية بالمنطقة المركزية.
كما تدعوا الخطة أيضا إلى إعادة تنمية المناطق الحضرية ذات الأولوية الخاصة عبر استثمارات القطاع الخاص، ربما عن طريق خلق شراكة بين القطاعين العام والخاص والتي تقوم بتنسيقها إحدى وكالات إعادة التنمية، على أن تغطي هذه الوكالة المدينة كلها وتكون أيضا قادرة على القيام بإعداد خطط عمل مفصلة واقتطاع الأراضي ودفع التعويضات وهيكلة المواقع لإعادة بيعها للقطاع الخاص. كما ترمي الخطة أيضا إلى تشجيع إنشاء تجمعات سكنية ملائمة وتحسين الظروف المعيشية للمواطنين مع تطوير قاعدة أكبر من الموارد البشرية. وأخيرا تهدف الخطة إلى تطبيق أليات للحفاظ على سياسة مالية متوازنة.
وتقترح الخطة استراتيجية متوسطة الكثافة لتطوير المدينة، حيث تتراوح الكثافات بين ما يزيد على 350 نسمة للهكتار في المنطقة المركزية وأقل من 100 نسمة للهكتار في المنطقة الواقعة بعد الطريق الدائري الرابع، كما تقترح الخطة أيضا إنشاء عدد من المراكز ذاتية الاكتقاء بالضواحي. كما سيتم نقل بعض الأنشطة المتركزة بالمنطقة القريبة من الجامعة وإعادة توزيعها على التجمعات القروية خارج المنطقة المركزية، كما سيتم أيضا نقل بعض المرافق والخدمات من المدينة إلى التجمعات القروية المقترحة والتي ستصبح مراكز جذب لسكان الريف بهدف إبعاد ضغوط الهجرة عن المدينة. كما سيتم تخصيص فراغات كافية في مواقع ملائمة داخل المدينة للاستخدامات السكنية والتجارية والصناعية والزراعية والمؤسسية والترفيهية للوفاء باحتياجات السكان.

What is LOVE-Learning?
LOVE-Learning is an internet based Learning Management System that allows you – as a trainer – to view courses you are to deliver and work closely with learners and their managers in completing a structured learning diary to ensure that everyone gets the best from any training related activities. Historical information will then be gathered electronically as everyone uses the system so you can monitor their progress and their ratings of you.
How do I access LOVE-Learning?
LOVE-Learning is accessed by a login and password (your login details). Please visit www.love-learning.co.uk and enter these details. You will be asked to accept the sites Terms and Conditions before you can continue.
I have not received my login details?
Most likely reason are as follows:
1. Your email address is incorrect in the system.
2. You have not yet been added to the system.
3. The email is in your Spam box (this can happen if your company has not set systems to accept emails from LOVE-Learning).
In any of these cases please contact your system administrator.
My login details do not work?
Please check that you are typing these in correctly (all logins and passwords are case sensitive). If still not working please contact your system administrator.
I am in – where do I start?
The first place to start is your Calendar and Upcoming Courses Section (right hand panel). Any courses you will be facilitating will be clearly shown. You will also receive email messages regarding any courses so please also check your Mailbox in LOVE-Learning. This is located to the bottom right of your calendar and can also be accessed via the Dashboard. If there are any courses you are going to facilitate tasks you are required to complete there will be a message. Each message will quickly explain what you have to do and will also contain a hyperlink to take you to the place you need to be to complete.
I have lost my login and/or password?
Your login and password will be contained in any emails you receive. If, however you do not have any access to this information please visit the login screen and click on “Forgot Your password? Click here to retrieve”. Next, enter your email address and click send. An email will then be sent to you with your login details..
Can I change my login/password?
You can change your password but not your login. To change your password click on the personal tab which is located to the top right of the calendar – beside logout. Next, click on the learner account details tab and then change your password, confirm the change and then click “Save Changes”.
