Lori Utecht:

Ph.D. in English from the University of Nebraska and 20 years of experience as a teacher and published writer and editor.

For six years Lori was the director and curator of a non-profit museum dealing with the history of the American West and of the Omaha and Lakota Indian tribes. She was responsible for writing grants, putting on conferences, and producing exhibit scripts, newsletters, promotional material, and educational presentations.

Along with experience in academic writing (including two book credits and several reviews and articles), she has experience as a writer and editor for Boys Town Press, an organization that provides care for at-risk children and training for caregivers and parents of those children. She helped write workshop presentations, scripts for audio books, parenting guides, and website helpline Q & AÂ?s.

She taught composition and literature at a small state college in Nebraska and English as a foreign language as a private teacher in Brazil.

Vivian Marques Alves:

UNESP (University of the State of São Paulo) � Bachelor of French and Spanish with Translator�s Certification � 1997

Vivian is a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker with 9 years of experience teaching, translating, and interpreting in English, French, Spanish, and German. She has a DELE Spanish certification (awarded by the Ministro de Educación y Cultura del Reino de España) and is a Brazilian Government-certified translator in French (JUCESP registration number 1820). While at UNESP, Vivian developed a project consisting of terminological research in French in order to build a medical French-Portuguese dictionary (still in use today).
