How about Ceili's pub on Smithe/Granville? Sep 15, 2011

I like both ideas - The place sounds good, and especially the change of dates you proposed. It would be easier for me to make it on a Tuesday than on a Wednesday...

The date would be fine for me on the 27th. I have something, but it is movable and I would happily do so for this.
Also, I have been to some events at Ceili's. Like any good pub it is pretty loud, but it has a space for events that is pretty good for free mingling. I don't know that it's the best place for something organized with presentations, etc., but that kind of thing can be done elsewhere followed by a more meet-and-greet type event at Ceili's if the need arises.

Hi Jenni, I also like the meeting place you suggested, but I cannot make it on Tuesdays (UBC class). Any other day of the week works! I am well aware that trying to line up a date that suits everybody can take forever, and it's probably not possible anyway, so don't worry about me, I'll try to make it to the next one! (you just need to keep organizing...! ; )
