German term

ausladend

Any wine buffs out there?
Proposed translations (English)
4 +5 a generous wine

Discussion

Brie Vernier May 22, 2006:
Re. your Q below, the contrast is not btw. great wines and less-great wines, but rather btw. the regions. Those where grapes ripen later are known to have great wines, while the latter are usu. thought to be inferior ... but they, too, produce some greats

a generous wine

that should be fine here
Note from asker:
Is the term not intended to be negative in contrast to the excellent, finely balanced wines mentioned before?
