Another question relating to my text about poetryin the 1930s'. The term Fixierung is used here and elsewhere and it must have a very particular technical meaning.

imagery-focused fixation
I don't think "Fixierung" has any specific technical meaning here. What I got from the context was merely that the artist was not fixated on specifics of imagery in contrast to the imagists.

The true form of a Crapseian cinqain is therefore a 5-line poem with 1, 2, 3, 4, and 1, stress-lines, respectively. The concentrated nature of the form results in stanzas that are sparse and delicate; they focus on a single image, relaying the realization of a simple truth. Armed with her invented form—which was short enough

I would work round the idea of "image"
4 hrs
fixation on technical aspects of imagery construction
..didn't fall victim to a fixation on the technicalities of imagery construction
I'd keep 'construct' in there because that makes the term easier to associate with poetry rather than film or photography.

15 hrs
technical specification
don't have to say image because it is already contrasted with the "Imagisten" - im Gegensatz zu den Imagisten.
