number *passed through the system* / *passed on* / *transmitted* Explanation: Shots in the dark, I have to admit ... are there any further instances in which the term occurs? Another idea - could this be a "direct line/dial/connection"? -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 21 mins (2004-04-24 15:30:02 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- From the context of your other query, I\'d conclude that the number is in fact passed through [on]/***forwarded***/transmitted/transferred to FaxExpress (from some other software or the telecommunication system itself). -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs 47 mins (2004-04-24 17:56:38 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Your addition \"more instances: - Parameter für Direktdurchwahl\" seems to confirm my previous remark. |

handed over ... (or passed on to ...) Explanation: From the context of "... dass die Faxnummer beim Fax-Empfang ordnungsgemaess *durchgereicht* wird" the term "handed over" or "passed on to" would fit the bill, but you would have to check on the other instances of "durchreichen" to see if they would be suitable there too! Otherwise, I would simply choose on "transmit" as Steffen Walter has suggested. |
