Pores in concrete soak up rainwater and groundwater from below like a sponge. They also absorb chloride ions and ice removers that attack the concrete chemically. When water freezes, it expands by 9 percent and cracks the concrete. The freeze-thaw cycle causes scaling and hairline cracks. Concrete deterioration and settling eventually causes structural cracks. All of these problems can be prevented if you seal the surface of the concrete before they happen or use our sealer to prepare the concrete surface for repairs and avoid expensive complete replacements
