ćevabdinica barbecue stall/stand, grilled-meat stall Explanation: Opet je izvor Bujas. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 18 hrs 30 mins (2004-06-05 17:39:23 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Ja sam shvatula da se radi o nečem poput kioska. |

ćevabdinica Grill restaurant Explanation: I think your own suggestion is probably the best, Nedzad. Bar & grill is more common, but probably not appropriate in this case. "stall" and "stand" suggest that there is no proper table seating, or that it's a "to go" place. Bujas also suggests "kebab restaurant", and most will recognize that word although usually it refers to raznjice (brochettes), not ground meat cevap. The more common spelling in the US is "kabob". Great, now I'm hungry! -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day 20 hrs 50 mins (2004-06-06 20:00:01 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- This is my favorite sentence from Nedzad\'s link above: \"Cevapcici (minced meat with diced onion grilled on charcoal) and pljeskavica (grilled minced meat with diced onion) sound similar but have different shapes.\" Although vague, it\'s better than Bujas\'s \"minced meat fingers\". Yuck! |
