To characterize the different cell types that express the MAL protein and subsequently correlate the alterations in the expression and/or distribution with the development in pathological cell stages, we have firstly carried out an extensive immunohistochemical analysis of the MAL expression in a wide range of human tissues using the mouse monoclonal antibody named 6D9 that recognizes the human MAL protein.
