German term

Kohldampf

German to English Art/Literary Idioms / Maxims / Sayings employment contract
Everyone had a *Riesenkohldampf* from the strenuous trip.

My dictionary just suggests "hunger" - any ideas on a good english expression to cover this one?

Discussion

Richard Benham Jul 27, 2004:
Why is this mentioned in an employment contract? Is it an allowable excuse for a longer lunch-break?

neutral Textklick : You never mentioned that before! But you'd have been happy with Gummibaerchen I expect as even we stoic Brits were. This is real Tennessee Mountain hunger ;-)
