Discussion

Fiona Grace Peterson Jun 9, 2022:
The prefix "eu" means "normal". So the ventricle is of normal shape. "In asse", very roughly, means it hasn't moved. "No displacement" might work. Hopefully one of our more knowledgeable colleagues can help out.

4th ventricle of normal shape, no displacement

You can use "morphology" instead of "shape"

"CT of the posterior fossa revealed gross displacement of the 4th ventricle by a large non-enhancing cerebellar mass but gave no indication of its nature."
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3177033/

"Ventriculography showed slight enlargement of the lateral and 3rd ventricles without displacement."
https://thejns.org/view/journals/j-neurosurg/20/2/article-p1...

"All imaging sequences in axial, coronal, and sagittal orientation were scrutinized with a focus on size and position of the superior cerebellar peduncles, hypo-/dysplasia of the cerebellar vermis, cerebellar cysts, brainstem morphology including shape of the interpeduncular fossa at the section of the brainstem isthmus and upper pons, size and shape of the 4th ventricle, and any other cerebellar or cerebral malformations, as described previously."

neutral Emily Gilby : Thanks Fiona, this helped me today! I sometimes translate "in asse" as "is midline" or "no midline shift" depending on the context but I like your rending and will be adding it to my glossary :)

IV eumorphic ventricle in axis

seems like you can also leave out eumorphic
Peer comment(s):

disagree Fiona Grace Peterson : Again, complete nonsense. A literal translation will not work here. And you CANNOT leave out "eumorfico".

Thank You !!
neutral EleoE : With Fiona and Luigi. Besides, your translation is nowhere to be found in the link you posted. A link serves as confirmation of the term(s) you propose.
