promotion coefficients

Si parla di scuola. Ad ogni materia viene assegnato un indice che serve per il calcolo del voto ai fini dell'ammissione alla classe successiva, ma non so si può utilizzare "indice di promozione". Si parla delle Scuole Europee.
Indice di materia / indice ai fini dell'ammissione alla classe successiva. Oppure potrei scrivere solo indice e spiegare tra parentesi a cosa serve

Ciao, forse "promotion" è "promozione" intesa come "avanzamento di carriera"?
Dalle tabelle di questo file, "promotion coefficient" sembrerebbe un termine della statistica.... però in effetti non ci sono molte occorrenze di "coefficienti di promozione"...

WHAT IS A PROMOTION?
