Si tratta di un manuale di tecniche osteopatiche.
La frase completa e' la seguente:
In questo modo la scapola si scolla dal torace e si attua una sorta di stretching, allungamento della muscolatura periscapolare.

In genere scollamento viene tradotto con detachment, ma in questo caso in cui viene causato dal terapista mi domando se release non sia piu' appropriato e se esista un termine specifico

agree Joseph Tein : Separation maybe? In my glossary I have the following possibilities for scollamento: detachment, separation, disconnection, dissection. Just a suggestion, I'm not familiar with osteopathic procedures.

Thanks Joseph. I think 'separation' has a different (negative) connotation, whereas 'release' is more positive, which I think fits better in this context.
