Italian term

in esiti

Italian to English Medical Medical (general) chest CT scan
We've had questions about this phrase before, but when I look through them they don't seem to help me here (see one example http://www.proz.com/kudoz/italian_to_english/medical_general...

This is from a chest CT scan of a hospitalized patient:

"Apprezzabili 2 micronoduli mantellari al LSS e strie fibrotiche lingulari e dorso-basali al LIS *in esiti.*

The first part of the sentence just states the findings and where these things are located; I don't understand the meaning of "in esiti" at the end.

What does this mean/ how should I translate it?

Thanks again for your help.

Just a guess Could it simply be a concise/shorthand way to express what was found or noted "negli esiti degli esami effettuati"?

Could it be this?

Note from asker:
A helpful answer should include examples and explanations. Also ... do you know what LIS is?
Now that I look at this again, I see also that there is a complete misunderstanding of the meaning of "basali" here. It's just an ignorant guess.

In other words (from another "ask the doctor" forum),

(PT) ...Stabile il micronodulo in esiti all’apice di sinistra.

(DOC) ...I tuoi medici hanno ragione, stai tranquilla. A giudicare dai referti, almeno, non c’è alcun elemento di preoccupazione. Non farti spaventare dal linguaggio ermetico e ipertecnico. Le alterazioni presenti alle due TAC sono roba vecchia
