Switch on the dosimeter according to 2.2.1. The dosimeter should enter the DER measurement mode. The LCD displays information (Figure 2.1). The dosimeter is ready for operation in approximately 60 seconds after power on.
The DER value can be read when the relative root-mean-square uncertainty of the average reading (hereinafter referred to as “statistical uncertainty” is less than 15 %. The DER value (at normal radiation background) should be 0.05 to 0.2 µSv/h.
