En los 10 días siguientes al del requerimiento de pago el deudor podrá interponer demanda de oposición al juicio cambiario.

La oposición se hará en forma de demanda. El deudor cambiario podrá oponer al tenedor de la letra, el cheque o el pagaré todas las causas o motivos de oposición

Yes, there is a promissory note (Pagaré) involved, I was thinking maybe the text is meant to be interpreted as "Defendants to the Note" or "los Demandados parte del Pagaré" but I was not sure.

El contexto es escaso pero quizás la consulta tiene que ver con esto:
"If no defence is filed
Note defendant in default

If you have filed a claim and the defendant has not filed a defence within 20 days after being served with the claim, you can ask the court clerk to find (or note) the defendant in default."
