Hola, necesito ayuda con esta frase:

16. Insert-and-Rotate Insertion vs. Impaction:

a. Impaction:
i. Endplate broaching that is possible during impaction is not endplate preserving
ii. Impaction may cause endplate compromise or implant failure resulting in subsidence
iii. This “snowplow” effect (below) is why the impacted lordotic implants do not typically offer high degrees of angulation

¡Gracias!

Kirsten Larsen (X) Nov 7, 2015:
"The "snow plow" effect, where the atheromatous plaque is shifted toward the ostium of the sidebranch, is reported to be the responsible mechanism after stenting."

Kirsten Larsen (X) Nov 7, 2015:
"snowplow effect" es en principio esto: "Mass increase occurs because of the snowplow effect of Higgs boson (mass ahead of you) when you move quickly, since the Higgs bosons you are moving into can't instantly flow out of your path, so there is mass increase."

You are right rcolin. What is shown below is an image that shows the "sweeping effect" of what I believe is the implant. So I guess the answer proposed by Ingrid might be suitable... Thanks!

“snowplow” effect (below) What is shown "below" - that might throw some light on what is this snowplow effet in orthopedics and help find a possible translation
