Hands-off

English to Spanish Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering automotive industry
This is the name given to a device or machine that needs maintenanance at an automotive industry in Mexico. I have some pictures, but no more context. I am reviewing the translation and the tranlator chose "Entrega" which does not sound like a proper translation to me. I think it might be an HOA station or an automatized process. I have no contact with the plant operators or the translator to ask them. I can send you the pictures I have, if necessary.
Does anyone know what this might be?

Desgraciadamente no pude identificar la maquina pero "hand off" dentro del flujo de un proceso significa transferir, posicionar, pasar a la siguiente actividad algo asi como "pasar el balón"; Desconozco el termino en español dentro de contexto de manufactura y el nombre de esta maquina que transfiere materiales

Creo que lo que esta diciendo es que el procedimiento se realiza en este aparato con el conmutador en las posiciones HO y no en A Auto. No se refiere al nombre del aparato sino a la condición de seguridad para el mantenimiento .Envíame una foto del aparato haber si puedo decirte que es.

Off is self explanatory
Auto allows for control via a remote source (eg. PLC)

botones de seguridad

Es muy común este nombre en una máquina troqueladora, impresora o con uso de presión. Se refiere a cada uno de los botones, uno a la mano izquierda y otro a la mano derecha, para accionarla con seguridad para que realiza su proceso sin la posibilidad de meter las manos que están ocupadas presionando los botones de mando.

Al no ser que la foto indique lo contrario (aún no la he visto), creo que se trata de "material handling" en producciones a gran escala. Algo que se ha instalado para que el trabajador tenga los materiales más a mano y que funciona de forma manual.
