Italian term
posizioni impianti e cavedi per le canalizzazioni
Italian to English
Other
Architecture
This is from document about a possible restoration of a building.
It states that an exam will be needed to establish the "aspetti impiantistici, i.e. posizioni impianti e cavedi per le canalizzazioni".
I was wondering if anyone could help me with what "posizioni impianti e cavedi per le canalizzazioni" could mean in terms of an already existing building (around 200 years old).
Thanks.

the only evidence I have is that I'm an architect and that I know exactly what this is all about. I hope that's enough.

What would be needed would not be an "exam" (as you write) but an investigation or a survey.

Yes- "plant machinery" means all/any large fixed pieces of equipment such as pumps, boilers, air handling units etc. These can vary depending on the building type. A hotel, for example, might also have a large-volume hot water boiler; a single-family house would be unlikely to have very much at all - probably just a boiler and nothing else. It all depends !

"plant machinery" could simply be shortened to "plant".

Note from asker:
Hi, thanks for your reply. Sorry if this is a silly question, but would the term still be "plant machinery" if we are talking about a residential building, say a home or hotel? |
Great, thanks so much! |
