English term (edited):
to satisfy [obligations related to] these instruments
Selected
satisfaire aux obligations découlant de ces instruments
"Various options and warrants granted by the company were exercised by the holders of those instruments during the year.
The company issued 64,500 ordinary shares, 21,502 'B' ordinary' shares, and 21,502 'B' preferred shares to satisfy these instruments."
what is mean is
to satisfy [obligations - to the company - created by] these instruments
=
satisfaire aux obligations découlant de ces instruments
IOW these instruments contained not shares but the right [for the instrument holders] to acquire shares; to satisfy these rights, this company simply issued new shares, instead of giving existing shares.

Discussion
Well, not exactly - all these newly issued share are a consequence of exercising rights given by these instruments, but these shares were NOT a component of these instruments - it's not that these shares existed incorporated in these instrument and then were detached/separated from them.
What happened is that potential/promised shares where exchanged for/converted into real shares (ST: NEW shares were issued)
You could make a comparison with invoices. When a company sends an invoice it's not real money, it's only potential money; it's only when the invoice gets paid that real money is available to the company.
In the same way these "instruments" are not shares - only when these rights are exercised, the holders of these instruments exchange promises of shares for real shares.
