Linkte "spill the beans" bir sırrı söylemek, bizdeki tabiri ile "ağzından baklayı çıkarmak" olarak tanımlanmış. Bu yüzden spill uygun kelime olmalı diye düşünüyorum.

disagree  Mert Dirice: Spill burdaki farkında bile olmadan kendimi bunları söylerken buldum manasıyla alakasız, kişinin sır kıvamında tuttuğu bi şeyi "sökülmesi" anlamında kullanılıyor.
