Es geht wieder um die Beurteilung der Nachhaltigkeit von Rentensystemen anhand versicherungsmathematischer Bilanzen.
Im folgenden Zusammenhang bin ich versucht, 'actuarial balance' als 'versicherungsmathematischer Saldo' zu übersetzen, bin mir aber nicht ganz sicher, ob Saldo hier der korrekte Begriff ist.
The Annual Reports of the Board of Trustees of the Federal Old-Age and Survivors Insurance and Federal Disability Insurance Trust Funds in the United States analyze the financial sustainability of the OASDI programme using several balance sheet measures based on the open group approach; that is, projections of incomes, expenditures and contributory earnings take into account current and future OASDI programme participants. A primary measure used in the Trustees’ Reports is called the *actuarial balance*.
The *actuarial balance* is the difference between present values of annual incomes and expenditures over a selected projection period expressed as a percentage of the present value of contributory earnings over the same period. An *actuarial balance of zero* for any period indicates that the estimated cost for the period is met, on average, with assets remaining at the end of the period equal to the following year’s expenditures. On the contrary, a *negative actuarial balance* indicates that, over the period, the income to the programme combined with existing assets is not sufficient to cover the programme expenditures.

Deckungssaldo klingt für mich Laien sinnvoll.
@Daniel: ja, aber die Bilanz oder das Statement ist doch die Gegenüberstellung als solche? Während hier ein Wert gemeint ist, der "ganz unten" auf der Bilanz steht.
Für die Begrifflichkeit:
IAS 26 spricht von "versicherungsmathematisch" statt "aktuariell" und das Wort "Bilanz" kommt zwar vor, aber nicht in diesem Sinne. Im englischen ist da auch nicht die Rede von "balance", aber der Term "balance" ist ja sowieso weitestgehend aus den IFRS rausgeflogen, jetzt sind es "statements"
