エキマニコンのエキマニは、exhaust maniholdだと思います。
実は、このエキマニのことについて、とある方とお話しましたが、
通常は、「エキマニコン」とは言わないのだそうです。
コンバーターの中に触媒の粒粒が入っていて、そこを通った排気はCo（その他有害物質）がある程度中和/還元され規制にあったレベルの排気になって車の外に出るので、「排気コンバーター」とか「キャタライザー」ならいう。 ちなみにコンロッドは駆動系でクランクにつながります。（おっしゃられたことそのままお伝えしています）。
実は、その前に関係会社の方にお聞きしました。エキマニコンの「コン」は、「コンバータ」の「コン」なのだそうです。
