A separating wall shall be either carried up to form a close joint
with the underside of a pitched roof of non-combustible covering
or carried up above the level of such roof covering. The junction
between such separating wall and roof shall be properly
fire-stopped so as not to render ineffective the resistance of such
separating wall to the effects of the spread of fire.

So als "deutsche Variante mit englischen Wörtern" ;-)
Es ist nicht der (oder nur ein ganz kleiner) Bereich über der Mauer, sondern die Mauer an sich, auf der dann höchsten noch die Dachhaut/-eindeckung liegt, wenn die Mauer nicht durch die Dachhaut hindurchragt.

Through the roof is what Überdachführung means. The fire compartment wall is not terminated at the ceiling surface but extends further including the complete ceiling or it even protrudes to the outside for e.g. 30 cm.
