English term

get the A back

English to German Other Slang TV, film, crew, cast
"And here, at the end, you're getting all the A back. M. S. is back, A. M. is back..." (cast that has been in the episode from the beginning.)

Could it be a reference to very good actors? I thought it could stand for "action", but not sure anymore.

Any suggestions welcome!

Kind regards,

Nadine

A(-list) Along the same lines as Nicole: The show-business modifier "A-list" stands for the most celebrated or sought-after individuals; that is those on the (real or imaginary) "A-list".

Thank you for your comments. :-)
Nicole Schnell Jul 14, 2010:

A might also stand for the best grade. This is just an educated guess!

Sorry, it should read, "all of the A back". I think I answered my own question. A stands for actors, right? Silly me.
