Dutch term

(soepel) vallen

Dutch to English Other Textiles / Clothing / Fashion
Bijv.

to (have an easy) flow

Example sentence:

Because of the slinky fabric, this skirt has an easy flow.

agree Tina Vonhof (X) : It's more than fitting well.

to fall/ hang well/fit well/sit well

Example sentence:

that skirt does not hang / fit well / sit well on you

Peer comment(s):

drapes well

In my experience, one says that a garment/fabric 'drapes' more than 'falls'. Drapability is a quality. A supple fabric like tricot or finely woven silk for example is usually more drapable than woven cotton canvas. Indeed, 'slinky' as HStobbe said.
In this case, it is more about the property of the fabric in the jacket than the fit (obviously they are related).

OED: DRAPE; hang or be able to hang in loose, graceful folds : velvet drapes beautifully.

Draping is the way the fabric falls on the body which creates a flowy affect...

'Flowy'!!! What a dreadful example of fashionspeak.
