civilian brake light

Probably an extra braking light which can be turned of when used in combat, when you wouldn't want the enemy to see you every time you braked, but which is probably necessary when driving normally in civilian areas.

civil light/brake light

I think it's a typo, and there should be a comma or a slash (/) between civil and brake. They are two different types of lights.

disagree Kim Metzger : Japanese and Chinese links for "civil light"? The point is to find terms used in the trade by native speakers of English.

The first and the fourth link are partially in Japanese, but the descriptions of the products offered on these sites ARE in English. You've missed that point.
disagree B D Finch : The descriptions on your references are in **bad** English!

Maybe they are in "bad" English as you say, but at least they have pictures of the product and might give some hints or ideas to the asker.
