Address strap
English to Dutch
Tech/Engineering
IT (Information Technology)
In case one single display is not working at all, check all its connections, including the address straps. Power-off and power-on again to check whether this display shows its address at start-up. Launch the display test again. If the failure is persisting, replace the display.

Mogelijk bedoelt men de kabellabels.

When a jumper is placed over two or more jumper pins, an electrical connection is made between them, and the equipment is thus instructed to activate certain settings accordingly. ... Informally, technicians often call setting jumpers "strapping". To adjust the SCSI ID jumpers on a hard drive, for example, is to "strap it up".

2.5 Straps
The DP83640 Demo Board provides a combination of jumpers and resistors to configure the strap options for the device. The following table summarizes the straps and the default settings.
