I would probably just say "hygroma" and not add layer. A hygroma is "a cystic swelling containing a serous fluid". A "subdural hydroma" is often spoken of in the cranium ("accumulation in the subdural space of proteinaceous fluid, usually derived from serum, or of cerebrospinal fluid due to a tear in the arachnoid membrane"), but you can also have an "extradural hygroma" (see http://books.google.com/books?id=HXkr2GcNsKwC&pg=PA691&lpg=P...

: Anche per me, solo hygroma. Eventualmente, nel contesto specifico, si potrebbe specificare con: initial hygroma. Non credo sia necessario aggiungere altro.

: in the CT scan the hygroma appears as a layer of fluid between the skull and the brain - there is no need to include "layer"
