French term

convention d’animation

French to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
This in relation to the Casablanca stock market. Below are the only two examples of the use of the term "animation" in this document. It seems to have something to do with IPOs (initial public offerings).

Convention d’animation: 1 Année

- la période de l’après privatisations, qui se caractérise par l’animation systématique du marché par une forte émission publique des entreprises publiques et du secteur bancaire.

agree rkillings : Or 'liquidity provision agreement', since the animateurs are officially 'liquidity providers'.

agree MatthewLaSon : Yeah, I think you are right. This is like a "contrat de liquidité" (I think)

(Market) Development Agreement

This is an educated guess from the context you gave... It would appear to be an IFC-type opening up/ enlargment of capital or other markets by bond issuances, etc. This is often referred to as developing the market in African or Latin American countries with previously non-existant/ tiny markets.

Hope this helps to get your brain ticking!!
