The type of "Schleifgerät" referred to in my text is the device used by podiatrists to buff away hard skin, like callouses. It is an electric, hand-held device to which a round file (or buffer) is attached. This buffer then rotates rapidly to buff away dead skin.
Obviously, a "grinding device" won't work. I am looking for the official term used in podiatry. I have searched for "buffing device", "electric buffer", "foot buffer", with no success. Does anyone know the proper term? Many thanks in advance for any help.

Comment: "I attempted to get clarification from the client but I got none. I saw that they used "electric file" in their website so I used that, even though I'm not 100% sure of its accuracy. Still, I think "electric callous remover" is a solid option. Many thanks."

callous file
or perhaps more generally "podiatric file" based on your description.
