[pipe type] - photo identification

English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering pumps
I'm looking for the English term for the pipe pictured in the middle of the 3rd row on this page:
http://www.epsnetec.fi/4.html
under the label "Kuiluputki 2005".
It's part of a sewage/wastewater treatment facility.
Also on the same page, in the middle photo in the 6th row, labelled "Kuiluputkia 2003".

It's no clear really what sort of pipe this is, and the second picture doesn't look much like a pipe at all. Are you talking about its construction, or its function?
