Both "research camps" and "scientific camps" can be found in Google. I don't think they involve bonfires and tents, at least not necessarily.

: Są w googlu, ale w innym znaczeniu, np. w takim, jak "obóz polityczny"(scientific camp) lub jako "wyprawa naukowa"(research camp; np. zoologów do puszczy amazońskiej).
