Today, PhysX middleware is available for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The company has a very aggressive development schedule to offer new physics solutions in both software and hardware, moving beyond rag dolls, rigid bodies, and particles to detailed cloth (including cloth-on-cloth physics as well as cloth that stretches, rips, and pushes rigid bodies realistically), large bodies of fluids, and even eventually soft-body physics (squishy objects).

I think we need to look at the whole phrase “moving beyond rag dolls, rigid bodies, and particles to detailed cloth”
IMHO, The writer is just listing various techniques/items that typically can be generated/simulated through software such as “MYER”, and claiming physX can do better than that!
I am not familiar with any of these techniques, but I think ‘particle’ and ‘detailed cloth’ might belong to the SAME category while rag dolls, rigid bodies are NOT;
That’s why the writer listed them as ‘rag dolls, rigid bodies, and particles (up)to detailed cloth”
