The cordillera here refers to the cordilleran orogeny that affected the western margins of North and South America and western Antarctica. My histroical geology books refer to it as "cordillerisch". The vein system is known as a "Gangsystem" in German, but you could use "Erzgangsystem" and probably get away with it.
