Obviously "amaurose fugace" was appealing, but I thought I would opt to staying closer to the style of the text. In English it would have been "amaurosis fugax". Thanks for the information though!

Est-ce que le patient a vraiment perdu la vue ?
Pourquoi l'anglais ne serait-il pas plus précis (par ex. "he lost his eyesight"). Surtout dans le domaine médical, souvent très précis.
